Has the signing of the Liverpool midfielder from Bayern Munich already been revealed by Jose Enrique?

Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique may have revealed his former club have already signed a midfielder ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The Reds are known to be in the market for at least one new midfielder before this summer’s transfer window.

Some of Liverpool The current squad of midfielders – Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – are out of contract in the summer, while others have been a shadow of their best selves this season.

Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham is known to be Liverpool’s main target. They are also connected with the likes of Mason Mount, Matheus Nunes and Declan Rice.

Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch has also been cited as a potential target of late. Liverpool are said to be “closely following” the Dutchman.

The German giants paid around £16m to sign the 20-year-old from Ajax last summer. He has played 24 times this season, but most of his appearances have come from the bench. He has only started a total of four games for Bayern Munich in all competitions.

Gravenberch’s name popped up during a live stream on Enrique’s new YouTube channel Thursday afternoon.

The 50-minute video is titled ‘trying if it works’ and sees the expert figuring out how to stream on YouTube. Around nine minutes, Enrique boldly asserted that Gravenberch is “ours”.

“This player is ours [Liverpool] man, Gravenberch,” Enrique said.

His co-host then pointed out: “Yes, the problem is that his agent is the same agent as Bobby Firmino.”

Enrique then doubled up: “Amigo, it’s my own agent! Team Raiola, amigo we had a meeting just now in London, this is our player”.

Enrique’s co-host – perhaps wary because the expert was forgetting that he was live on YouTube – warned him: “Be careful, you’re live.”

While it would be hilarious if a major summer signing were revealed by Enrique among all the people on YouTube, you have to feel that this isn’t quite as dry as Liverpool fans are hoping.

Some gullible Liverpool supporters might take Enrique at his word that he knows he has signed Gravenberch as he shares the same agent as the Bayern Munich star.

But it’s worth noting that this is Enrique’s first YouTube video and he will know that an outlandish statement like this would be picked up by various websites and newspapers. And in turn, he would attract a lot of eyes to his new channel and get a big boost in subscribers in the process.

Although as a lover of chaos and the prospect of a major Liverpool signing announced by Enrique, let’s just give him the benefit of the doubt and say it’s true for the bullshit and the giggles.

So with that. Welcome to Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch.
