Is Novak Djokovic’s aura fading too?

A top coach believes that Novak Djokovic is the last man when it comes to the aura of the big three.

While Brad Steen Nadal still has a target on his back, he is vulnerable to defeat at this stage of his career, but Roger Federer feels that is not the case.

However, when it comes to Djokovic, there is a sense that his pressing aura remains intact and that on his day he is simply unbeatable.

Nadal and Djokovic are neck and neck in the Grand Slam race at the moment, but when all is said and done, few will match the current world No. 1 to win the tournament.

“Rafa, as we said, is a bit obsessed with where he’s going. But, he was definitely more vulnerable in the last six or eight months. I think he lost to five Americans in a row, something like that, maybe four, I’m not sure. So, there’s a vulnerability with it that wasn’t there before,» Steen said on the Tennis Channel’s Inside Inside podcast.

Steen feels there is a sense of equality among the rest of the top ten players, which makes them all vulnerable to each other and to other young players.

But, when it comes to Djokovic’s players, they know they can’t win easily.

«Novak is still that invincible,» Steen said.

I think everyone in the picture, like Medvedev, good like Alcaraz, good sinner, anybody else you can name in the top 10, not just Americans. I feel like everyone is vulnerable,” he added.

Novak Djokovic was in a good position to have a good season on clay, but he was hit by injuries.

The world No. 1 suffered shock exits in both Monte Carlo Nanja Banja Luka before exiting the Madrid Open.

While Nadal is away on tour, he is doing a bit of fitness ahead of next month’s French Open.

Nadal injured his hip during his second-round Australian Open loss to Mackenzie Macdonald and has not played on the ATP Tour since.

Images of Nadal training at the academy have raised hopes that he will be fit to resume clay swings in Monte Carlo, but it now looks more likely that he will return to Rome.
