Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram in the summer transfer window, reportedly.
Klopp’s midfielders have taken a lot of the blame for their poor season as Liverpool look seventh in the Premier League and out of all cup competitions.
There are strong rumors that the Reds will boost their midfield in the summer with transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano claiming there will be two or three midfield signings at Anfield.
Romano wrote about today Caught offside column: “There are a lot of midfield goals being discussed by Liverpool, it’s not just Alexis Mac Allister, Mason Mount and Ryan Gravenberch.
“But it’s still very early, Liverpool will definitely get midfielders but April is not the time to get players. Sometimes the transfer market is also about opportunities and therefore Liverpool are exploring different options. They told me they will sign two or three midfielders this summer.”
They have been linked with numerous midfielders in the summer transfer market with Nicolò Barella of Inter, Alexis Mac Allister of BrightonChelsea’s Mason Mount and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch are just a few names on the Reds’ shortlist.

The price tag, estimated at €35m (£31m) and cost wages make Thuram a ‘rather unrealistic’ potential signing for Inter Milan and the report adds that ‘Klopp will win’ the race for the France international this summer.
Some less convincing reports in the Spanish publication National claim Liverpool had rejected an €80m offer for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong in the winter transfer window.
It is said to be the same amount Manchester United offered last summer when they bid to buy the Dutch international from the Catalan giants.
Liverpool ‘they haven’t forgotten it yet, and they want to give it a new try’ like ‘the [midfield] The option that seems to please Klopp the most is a move for De Jong.
National add that Liverpool are “preparing a new offer” for De Jong ahead of the summer transfer window and the Premier League club “confidence Baraa will be more receptive” this time around.
But there is one caveat that it “still looks difficult” for Klopp, especially without the Champions League on offer, with De Jong “very comfortable” at Barcelona.
