Liverpool and Newcastle «ready to shell out 50 million euros» for the Bayern star having «already made offers»

Newcastle have reportedly joined the race for Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.

Gravenberch, who moved to Bayern last summer for a reported £17m after earning rave reviews for his performances for Ajax, started just two Bundesliga games in his debut season.

And a lack of playing time led Gravenberch to admit last month that he «really wants to play weekly again» and that his situation «needs to change next season.»

«At first, of course, I had to get used to here, a new environment», Customs Gravenberch VI.

“Everything is much faster, sometimes even training seemed like competitions.

“It’s a big European club, you can’t miss anything, but I feel like ‘the habit’ has been behind me for a while.

“Training and playing at the highest level for a year is beautiful and instructive. I say play, but it’s mostly training.

“That has to change next season so I really want to play weekly again. I haven’t spoken to the club management yet so wait and see what happens. But it is clear that this role does not correspond to my expectations.

Interest was rife even before that statement, and has predictably increased since then, with transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano revealing Liverpool are particularly keen.

He said: «Liverpool in particular remain interested and had a direct conversation with their agent a few days ago so they are waiting to see if that could change.»

Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linkedwhile Manchester City have been thrown into the fray in recent days.

But TuttoMercatoWeb (through Sports witness) put Newcastle in front of Liverpool.

Both clubs are said to have «already made offers» and are willing to «spread out €50m» to get the midfielder this summer.

The report adds that United are also in the picture but are yet to bid.

Whether Gravenberch actually leaves the club depends on his meeting with Thomas Tuchel and the club hierarchy, which has yet to take place.
