With the BMW Open underway and heading towards its finale, let’s take a look back at one of the most outrageous shots from Hugo Gaston at the tournament.
The 22-year-old is currently ranked No. 105 in the ATP Rankings, having secured No. 58 in his best season yet.
Gaston will definitely surprise you with this shot because he definitely surprised his opponent and everyone present. His dramatic devotional was certainly an interesting moment, full of betrayal and innocence.
The Frenchman showed his confidence in this shot as he sprinted towards the net to deliver a perfect shot. The 22-year-old gave it his all with a diving effort and an extended racket to stun the crowd. It was a spectacular shot that everyone including the opponent applauded.

You can definitely tell how Gaston felt when he was shooting by the puzzled look on his face. Gaston was so surprised by the shot that he was lying on the court at the time, bathed in laughter.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the Frenchman play this year’s BMW Open. However, he made a brief appearance at the Banja Luka Open. The 22-year-old had a brief stint in the tournament, losing in the round of 32.

In the second round, the star faced Peruvian challenger Juan Pablo Varillas. Both were surprisingly good performances from the pair. However, Gaston fell and suffered a narrow 7-5, 6-3 loss.
Varilas faces Andrey Rublev in the next round. Unfortunately, Varilla was swept by Rublev in a final score of 2-6, 2-6.
Rublev cemented his place in the final after defeating Alex Molka earlier today. The pair battled it out hard, with both competitors landing some exciting shots. However, Rublev saw himself rise to the occasion after beating his opponent 2-6, 4-6.
Rublev’s final opponent is still to be decided, with Serbian stars Dusan Lajovic and Miomir Kecmanovic meeting in the semi-finals today. An exciting final awaits tomorrow as Rublev looks to clinch his title.
