One of the best baseball programs in the US is in Florida. In NCAA Division I college baseball, the University of Florida is represented by the Florida Gators baseball team. They have played baseball since 1912 and have been in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) since 1933.
The Gators have made the College World Series 12 times, including 6 championship series appearances. They have only won the national championship once, in 2017, when they defeated the LSU Tigers in the finals.
At McKethan Stadium at Perry Field, where the Gators play their home games, there are 5,500 seats available. Since 1988, the stadium where the Gators play has undergone numerous improvements to enhance the fan experience.
