One of the oldest NHL players still playing is 38-year-old Joe Pavelski. He continues to perform to the highest standard despite his advanced age. The veteran scored four goals Tuesday, becoming the oldest player to do so in the playoffs, as the Dallas Stars played the Seattle Kraken in Round 2 Game 1.

He was chosen to lead Team USA to the 2016 World Cup, which was held in Toronto, Canada. Since then, the 38-year-old has gone by «Captain America.»

One of the best American skaters in the NHL is Joe Pavelski. Pavelski, born in the United States and with the most playoff goalscorers in NHL history, increased his goal total to 68 with his staggering four-goal epic victory over the Kraken.

For the Stars, Pavelski is having an excellent year. He has played in 82 regular season games this year and amassed 77 points while scoring 28 goals and 49 assists. He played in 170 games in the NHL postseason and currently has 130 points on 68 goals and 62 assists.

The Seattle Kraken’s fairytale season is still going strong after they defeated the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of the second round on Tuesday. The Kraken won the first period easily and led 4-2 in the second.

Both teams were scoreless in the second period. In the third period, the game was tied at 4-4 until the Stars came from behind and Pavelski scored his fourth goal to complete his hat-trick and force overtime. To offset the veteran’s four-goal contributions, the Kraken’s Yanni Gourde scored the winning goal in extra time.
