According to reports, Yunus Musah of the United States and Valencia has been talking to Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. The Spanish outfit reportedly indicated at the end of last year that they could be open to selling Musah if he receives offers worth around £17m. The player, who is under contract with Valencia until the summer of 2026, currently has three main suitors, all from the Premier League, according to a recent 90min report.

Musah’s representatives have been in contact with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea for some time. The American midfielder is reportedly attracting interest from Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United, two other English Premier League sides. The 20-year-old has also been linked with other clubs in Europe. Rumors link VFL Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Atlético Madrid to the show.

Musah was a notable graduate of the Arsenal system appearing in 18 games for their U18 side, scoring five goals and dishing out three assists (via Transfermarkt). The alleged Liverpool and Chelsea target left the Gunners in 2019 to sign with Valencia’s B team, and was promoted to Valencia’s first team the following year.

The American has since played 101 times for Los Che, contributing five goals and three assists. This La Liga season, Musah has appeared in 27 of 30 games and contributed two assists as well as averages of 4.9 successful duels, 1.6 tackles and 0.6 vital passes per game.

Since his debut in the United States in 2020, he has also collected 24 caps for the national team. The midfielder contributed significantly to the Stars and Stripes team’s march to Round 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup by providing two assists in those games.

After featuring in the opening match for 75 minutes, Musah started and finished the last three games in Qatar. In addition to completing 87 percent of his passes, he had game averages of 4.5 successful duels, 2.0 tackles and 0.8 critical passes.

Rumors have linked other players with Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal as well as Yunus Musah. Blues midfielder Mason Mount has also been at the center of rumors involving all three teams.

In the summer of 2024, Mount’s existing contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire. Chelsea could try to sell him for a respectable sum this summer if contract negotiations fail to deliver a result.

In a recent essay for CaughtOffside, transfer news pundit Fabrizio Romano provided an update on his future, saying: «Despite Arsenal’s reported interest in Mason Mount, Liverpool remain favorites for the Blues midfielder, as they consider Mount one of their top priorities for the summer transfer market.”
